Epsom Angling Society Waters

Chertsey new lake

Welcome To Our Waters.

The Society has established fisheries on the Rivers Mole and Wey, has fishing on 32 miles of the Basingstoke canal, two lakes in Newdigate near Dorking, two lakes in Chertsey and a lake in Oxshott.

Newdigate

A secure fishery, with hard standing car parking and easy access for disabled anglers.
Two lovely lakes each about an acre in size, the top lake has 20 permanent swims, with one specially designed for disabled anglers.
The bottom lake is deeper with natural banks and good cover.
The lakes nestle in woodland surroundings and are ideal for juniors and novice anglers as well as match fishermen.
Both lakes are well stocked with carp into double figures, roach, rudd and tench with the bottom lake also containing bream and chub.
Fishing is allowed all year round.

Chertsey

The Chertsey fishery consists of two well established lakes with carp up to high doubles and a good head of silver fish, especially roach, rudd and the occasional perch.
Easy car parking is available in the evenings and at weekends within a short walk of the banks. Fishing is allowed all year round.

River Mole

We share a very natural stretch of the River Mole at Cobham with Cobham Court Angling Club. Catches have included pike to 28lb and barbel over 14lbs.
Perch over two pounds and chub up to over four pounds have also been caught in recent bags.

River Wey

A small tranquil stretch of the River Wey at Weybridge holds perch, roach, chub, bream, dace and the occasional big carp to keep you on your toes.

Oxshott Brick Pit

The Oxshott Brick Pit fishery consists of a deep lake shared with Cobham Court AC. It contains specimen carp, large pike, tench and rudd.
Easy car parking is available within a short walk of the banks. Fishing is allowed all year round.

Basingstoke Canal

Basingstoke Canal

We are also members of the Basingstoke Canal Anglers Association, which gives our members access to 32 miles of the canal from Byfleet where it joins the Wey Navigation to Odiham in Hampshire! There really is some superb fishing to be had quite close to home, with double figure carp to be caught in many sections.

Further details of our waters including location maps are available to our members in the Members Area.
